Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro / Synthetic Tuftsin analog

neuroprotectionExperimentalSynthetic immunomodulatory peptide / Anxiolytic

Synthetic heptapeptide developed at Institute of Molecular Genetics (Russia), combining tuftsin fragment (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg) with a stabilization sequence. FDA-equivalent approved in Russia as nasal drops. Anxiolytic and nootropic. Stabilizes enkephalins, modulates IL-6, influences BDNF and GABA systems.

Mechanism of Action

Synthetic analog of tuftsin (immunopeptide). Modulates GABAergic system → anxiolytic effect. Influences BDNF and NGF expression in hippocampus. Stabilizes enkephalins by inhibiting enkephalin-degrading enzymes. Modulates IL-6 and inflammatory cytokines. Affects monoamine neurotransmission (serotonin, dopamine).

Dosing Protocol

Intranasal: 0.15% solution, 2-3 drops per nostril TID x 10-14 days. SC: 250-500μg daily x 10-14 days.
