Long R3 IGF-1 / IGF-1 Long Arginine 3

muscularEmergingInsulin-like Growth Factor-1 analog

Modified IGF-1 with 13-amino acid extension (Long) and Arg substitution at position 3 (R3). 10x longer half-life than native IGF-1 (~20-30 hrs vs ~12 hrs). Reduced binding to IGFBPs → enhanced bioavailability. Promotes muscle growth, tissue repair, neuroprotection.

Mechanism of Action

Binds IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1R) → PI3K/Akt and MAPK/ERK signaling → proliferation, differentiation, anti-apapoptosis. Reduced affinity for IGF-binding proteins (IGFBPs) → 10x longer half-life. Synergizes with GH (GH increases IGF-1 production). Promotes satellite cell activation. Neuroprotection via Akt pathway.

Dosing Protocol

20-120μg SC/IM daily. Bodybuilding: 50-80μg/day for 4-6 weeks on / 4-6 weeks off. Clinical: weight-based 50-100μg daily. Post-injection: may consume protein within 30 min to support signaling.
