Epitalon / AEDG peptide
Synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) developed by Vladimir Khavinson. Activates telomerase in human cells, extending replicable lifespan in vitro. Preclinical evidence for pineal epithalamin mimicry. Clinical studies show reduced mortality in elderly patients and improved melatonin regulation.
Mimics epithalamin (pineal gland peptide extract). Activates telomerase (TERT) in somatic cells → telomere maintenance. Modulates pineal melatonin secretion. Upregulates antioxidant enzymes (SOD, glutathione peroxidase). Reduces oxidative stress. May activate chromatin decondensation via N-terminal Ala-Glu tail interaction with histone H1.
5-10mg SC daily for 10-20 days. Repeat 1-2x/year. Intranasal: 20 drops (2.5%) daily for 10-20 days per course.
